This unique city in North America also features an unusual form of public transportation for the 1990's... genuine 1923 trolleys. These are quintessential North American cars, like those which once ran in virtually every city on this continent. They are long-gone elsewhere (except for their restoration in very limited capacity as tourist lines in a few places), but in the Crescent City they are still a serious part of the transit system, moving over 20,000 people daily! On this tape is a complete ride over the St. Charles line with many runbys, a visit to Carrollton Carbarn and the Riverfront line. Extra attention has been paid to capturing, in stereo the wonderful sounds of the motors, controller, air brakes, & track.
